Charity Anthology: Of Storms and Stardust

When Hurricane Helene devastated communities in western North Carolina, author E.V. Everest organized a charity anthology with the help of R.L. Perez and a team of authors all willing to pitch in. The result?

Over 2,000 pages of romantasy stories in one volume, with proceeds going to three charities local to the affected area.

Of Storms and Stardust Charity Anthology

Every story in Of Storms and Stardust was donated by an author who wanted to help. I contributed my YA dystopian PNR novelette, To Thaw a Phoenix Heart, about an ice phoenix raised to hate humans and the talented teen architect who just wants a chance to help her community rebuild in a cold, dystopian future.

Of Storms and Stardust is a limited-run charity anthology, so it’s the ONLY place to get To Thaw a Phoenix Heart until it ends in early 2025.

Here’s how you can get it:

All proceeds go to:

Homeward Bound of Western North Carolina

MANNA Food Bank

Samaritan’s Purse

I hope you’ll grab a copy, and if you do, please consider buying direct! Buying direct means a higher percentage of royalties make their way to charities, without the 2-3 month wait to receive them from Amazon. Thanks to direct sales, the Of Storms and Stardust organizers have already been able to make over $1k in donations to the three charities listed above!

Happy reading 🙂

Cheers,

Shift of the Seasons charity anthology is here!

Shift of the Seasons Charity Anthology

I’m pleased to say that the Shift of the Seasons charity anthology is out now! All proceeds go to breast cancer research, a cause that’s extremely important to me. Which is why I wrote a Season of the Fae novelette for it that you can’t find anywhere else!

My story, titled The Prince or the Bard? is an MFM “must choose” romance with a puca shifter narrator. Set in a fae high court in Ireland hundreds of years before the events of Revel at the Court of Claws and Lord of the Hollow Court, queen’s maid Laoise (pronounced LEE-shuh, like Alicia without the first A) finds herself caught up in unexpected romance…including a fake dating trope, a swoony bard and a rakish prince. There’s also intrigue and a glimpse of an underwater court!

A big thank you to author MJ Marstens for organizing this anthology!

Have a couple moodboards for this story, too!

"You're going to be the center of a romantic scandal, my dear." Moodboard with stone architecture, a horse in water, a mermaid tail, a woman in fall leaves and two handsome men.
Shift of the Seasons: The Prince or the Bard? A Must Choose Season of the Fae Story; A moodboard showing a silhouetted couple by the sea, a horse in water, Irish contryside and a castle, and a woman looking out at ocean waves

And while we’re on the topic, please, please, make sure you and your loved ones are all up to date on their cancer screenings. They truly save lives.

That’s all for now! I’m trying to be a little less negligent with the blog, so you’ll be hearing from me again soon.

Cheers!
